Editorial #4- Markus Engel

I am unhappy to hear that we were unsuccessful in Great Britain.  I understand that their forces were very strong, but we must not give up.  I still think with Hitler's help we can achieve greatness. How could great Britain beat us though? Anyway, that was just one battle, we can forget about it and move on.  We will get Great Britain soon enough.
As I said before, I plan on helping Hitler.  I have joined the Einsatzgruppen camp and have been here for about a month.  Here in Einsatzgruppen we have been very successful.  Usually we would have the prisoners dig their own graves and stand in them, then we would shoot them.  It was a pretty fast way of killing, but not fast enough.  We needed a faster execution for them, so we came up with a new plan: gas vans.  It is a alternative to shooting and quicker too.  We put the prisoners in the vans and fill it with gas, obviously.  They die after breathing in the toxic air.  We still take some of the prisoners into the woods to execute them.  If they somehow survive then they are sent to death camps, where they are starved and most are likely to die.  I am liking my life here as a guard in the camp, I have met some very nice gentlemen.  One man did say that he made a lampshade out of human skin, which i find both interesting and barbaric at the same time.  I despise these prisoners, but i won't be using their skin for anything.
