Congratulations
to Winston Churchill who finally gave Hitler a taste of his own medicine. All
of us here in the Philippines are very happy for you. You were outnumbered by many
Nazis. Yet you still pulled it off. Hitler never even thought of what he would
do if he was defeated by what he called the weak countries. This defeat could
change his mind about destroying the rest of the world.
That’s not
stopping me from building up my army. I will still keep training my forces for
anything that may come through to America.
Britain had
their luck in 1941 even though they had weaker forces and they were less supplied.
Winston knew
the Germans were planning attack on him so he said to his country “Hitler knows
that he will have to break us in this island or lose the war. If we can stand
up to him all Europe may be free, and the life of the world may move forward
into broad, sunlit uplands; but if we fail, then the whole world will sink into
the abyss of a new Dark Age. Let us therefore brace ourselves to our duties and
so bear ourselves that, if the British Empire and its Commonwealth last for a
thousand years, men will still say: ‘This was their finest hour.’” In this the
British citizens were ready to fight.
