Why can't we just get along? Japan's approach was just like Germany's - they were racist and believed they would be the champion of Asia. Japan used war and a military build-up as way out of the Depression and it became the national pastime - wars with Manchuria, China, Korea. You would think that they would be tired of war, but I guess not, not if you control public opinion, including schools, textbook content, the media, and the police. Just feeding the machine I guess!
